Who it is for

For accounting firms

One firm, several clients. Each client is its own organization with its own chart, its own QuickBooks, its own audit trail and its own people. Your accountants run the close in each one, and nothing crosses between them.

One organization per client

Every client is set up as its own organization. Its buildings, leases, documents, bank lines, chart of accounts, QuickBooks connection and audit trail belong to it alone.

Nothing from one client can be read, approved or posted from inside another, even by a person who works in both.

Your people, in each client

An accountant at your firm can belong to several client organizations and switch between them. In each one, the accountant runs the close, talks to Komod and invites the client's owners. The accountant is also the only role that can post to QuickBooks.

The client's owners read their own portal and see only their buildings. A viewer role reads a whole organization and changes nothing.

Each client's own QuickBooks

One organization has one QuickBooks. With Online, the chart is imported when you connect, and approved entries post by your click. With Desktop, the chart is imported from a file, and entries come out as a file you import. A client's chart is never shared with another client.

Each client's check register can be read as the books side for months already in their system. Those rows are never sent back to QuickBooks.

An audit trail per client

Who approved what, when, and on what evidence is written once per organization. It can never be edited or deleted. Each correction to a building, a tenant or a lease carries the reason your accountant gave.

Komod's staff set up each new client organization for you and invite your first accountant. They have no sign-in to a client's organization.

What you approve

  • Every card in each client's queue, by an accountant who belongs to that organization
  • Each post to that client's QuickBooks Online, from a preview card
  • Who joins each client organization, in which role, and which buildings an owner sees
  • Each client's chart import from QuickBooks Desktop, after reading the list of changes

What the report shows

  • One monthly report per building per month, in that client's organization only
  • Every figure linked to that client's transactions, leases and documents
  • Exceptions and action items per client, never mixed

Your first month is free

Let Komod run your next month-end close.

For one month, at no cost, Komod closes the books on your leases, your bank accounts and your QuickBooks. You approve every entry. Tell us a little about your buildings and we set it up with you, hands on.
